I have a best friend and his name is John. He means everything in the world to me and I am very protective over him. Last year, on June 22nd he tried to commit suicide and it was by far the scariest day of my life. Luckily he survived. He told me I was the reason he put the knife down because he saw in my eyes as I was videochatting him just how much I need him and love him. On both of his arms he has many scars remaining from that day. He is incredibly insecure about them, he covers them up with make up, always wears long sleeves, or sticks little band aids all over them. I want to show him they are not ugly and shameful like he thinks they are. I want him to know that they are beautiful, just like him. There’s nothing wrong with having scars, they tell his story. He means everything in the world to me and I love his scars as much as I love him. Please reblog this and spread the word so I can show my best friend his scars are beautiful. Thank you.
